Very Sad

This has been a very sad week, the world has lost a great woman. Carla Gibson was a very special woman, and a wonderful designer. Her husband and daughter where so great through it all, keeping us posted on how Carla was doing. I feel so bad that I haven't done as much as a should have with creating things to sell at Oscraps for Carla's family. With my surgery the other day I just wasn't up to it. Here's to a great woman my thoughts and prayers are with her husband and daughter.

My hysterectomy went as scheduled for May 30th, everything went well other than the morphine making me sick all day, my recovery has been pretty quick I guess, I haven't needed to take my pain pills the last two days, I think I over did it a little today thought and I might have to take one tonight. It makes me a little sad that I for sure will never have anymore children but I wasn't going to have anymore anyway, I had my tubes tied last year.

Melissa had her first soccer game tonight, with her coed team. It's kinda scary watching her run around and play with the rough boys. Oh well she enjoys it and doesn't mine the boys, she gets to check out all the cute guys LOL! Course she denies that one, but we know better! Keith is busy in baseball, so far the game and practice times haven't been at the same time but I know that we are going to have a few of those. It's fun watching them play.
Well that's it for now, time for bed, morning comes way too soon around here.

I wish

That I could throw my washer machine out in the trash!! Seriously! Tomorrow will be the 3rd time in 3 weeks that Sears has had to come out and fix it for me. The first time cost me 255 dollars!!! At least I will get that money back since we bought a 4 year extended when we got the washer and dryer. It's one of those Whirlpool Duet front loading washer. Anyway they have a seal or Boot as the repair guy calls it, the first time it tore from top to bottom and I had water all over my laundry room. He put a new one in it for me and left, that was Monday. Fast forward to Friday, doing laundry, and Ethan goes in the laundry room, not a big deal he does it all the time, this time though he fell on his head and let out a horrible shriek. Went in there and there was water all over the laundry room agian! So I call, they cant come out til Monday agian, so we set it up and he comes out and puts it back on, tells me not to wash blankets in there :O No way!! Never bothered it before!
Well now fast forward to Thursdsay and while I was switching the laundry over happened to check out this seal, GUESS WHAT!! It has popped off again! Now they couldn't get back out til tomorrow again. If it comes apart one more time Im calling Lowes and Sears can take their shoddy repairs and shove them!! GRRRR!!!! Makes me so Freaking mad!!!

Ok I feel better now LOL! My wonderful teams have been coming out with some awesome kits! Last month I had so many that I just fell in Love with!! At Pocket Pearls I got to work with first Nicole's (Windgefluester Designs) stuff, and then Nancy Kubo's! They have added a couple more designers and I can't wait til I get to work with them too!
Rebecca  came out with a couple new kits Pretty Katie and Spring Lilly, Love them both and they are my new favorites of hers!
Carla has a new kit called Nostalgia, and some awesome new altered cardboard paper packs 1 & 2

Ok it's been FOREVER since I've updated this dang blog, ITS OFFICIAL!! IM A HORRIBLE BLOGGER!!!

Got an awesome surprise today! DH and I went to compUSA and where looking around, Steve wanted to get a laptop so he had something to take to work and play games or whatever while he was on break, not to mention then he doesn't have to deal with my scrapping junk bogging down our puter. Anyway we left CompUSA with not one but TWO Sony laptops, OUCH OUCH!!! Needless to say I was totally shocked that I got one too, don't know how I managed to convince him that I should get one to but I did!

Some really great toots for me since the last time I blogged too, lets see, I was recently added to the awesome Pocket Pearls site CT! They have some really great designers there! Windgefluester, Melgan Designs...ect ect.... I love all of them!  Then just the other day Sue Cummings asked if I would like to join her CT! She has some great stuff at Oscraps and has a very relaxed CT, just my speed!

Some not so great news, I had my yearly exam a couple weeks ago and I get to have a hysterectomy, joy of joys, some history there, I have endometriosis. I totally not fun thing that is very painful to say the least. I'm guessing it will happen sometime the end of May. We are going on vacation to Disney the begining of May and I don't want to be sore or anything so waiting til after is the best.

My Baby is 11 Months!!

Wow where did the time go! He seems so much younger than that to me. I can see why though, he doesn't crawl and isnt to fast getting around the way he does it LOL. He can walk around the furnature when you stand him up, he gets around all over from the tv to the couches and back again.  He's such a sweet little boy. He now has almost 4 teeth on top now, there is one that is just barley above the skin.

I cant believe the month is almost over!!! December is right around the corner which means my term as a CT member for Vera is almost over!!!! :( Im so bummed! She has put out a bunch of cool kits this month and Im so happy I got the opportunity to work with her!

sick, sick, SICK!!

Ok so someone can turn winter off NOW!! Along with the toe freazing temperatures comes the annual cold season, and we all got it. and got it again, and well again!! Two trips to the dr this week, Keith has a sinus infection and I'm now on antibiotics too. Anyone who knows me knows I hate taking meds of any kind, its just an annoying thing that I have to remember. I think Im going to have to take poor little Ethan in this week if he doesnt start feel a little better.
Its cold here! Im already sick of the cold! No more snow but temps are dipping really low. This morning when I got up it was a whopping 4 *F. and I was complaining yesterday that it was 28 :P See what happens when you complain! Tonights low -10, this is just crazy!! I know people think Alaska....hmm very cold, well the last few years we've had very mild temps, this cold weather doesnt usually hit til later like after the first of the year (well that might be pushing it a little but towards the end of Dec at least) Oh well at least I've been able to stay inside. My fingers and toes are kinda numb though LOL!

Ok I got some cute pics of Ethan for his first Halloween, its going to be too cold for him to go without his snowsuit so I took some pics of him in costume.



It's been snowing like crazy here! Wow winter just kinda snuck up on us, one day its cool fall weather and the next we are getting snow and temps are down to 30 degrees!  Yesterday Anchorage got about 6 inches of snow, our in laws where going to come out for dinner but we cancelled after I drove the highway and was slip sliding around, too dangerous!

Out here we got a little less about 4 inches. I HATE driving when its like this! Keith it seems has got pink eye, not something my kids have ever had but I guess Im going to get real good at dealing with it cause Im sure all my kids are going to end up with it. He has an appointment in a couple hours :P

I've gotten a couple pages done, first one is using Carla Gibson's Embrace kit, I have bunches of pics that Elaine took of the girls and Doug & Loan. So Im getting busy using them.

My poor hubby has been working his buns off getting our other house in tippy top shape to try to sell, poor guy has been putting in so many hours working in there and not coming home til midnight and after on his days off,plus this week he had an overtime shift! I feel so bad cause I havent been much help. Hopefully all his hard work paid off and we'll get an offer this weekend. Won't be holding my breath there :P Pretty sure its been over 3 weeks that the house has been on the market now.

annnnnddd that all folks! LOL sorry just had to, gotta run and get Keith's hiney moving before he misses the bus.

Whew what a week! I'm sooo glad the kids have a 4 day weekend!!! Means I get to sleep in and hopefully catch up on sleep! Don't know what I was thinking when I went and rented Lost, seasons two, the first two disks. Of course when you start them you cant stop in the middle! So I have been up super late the last few nights watching that :P
Got a few pages done, I'm so proud of myself!! LOL! Well not just that I got a few pages done but I've actually been keeping up with the laundry ( at least the washing part) and keeping the house pretty clean! (big step for me LOL)

This next one is a 2 pager!!! Cant tell ya how long its been since I've done one of these! I used retrodiva Tracy Collins new Fill Your Heart,  really  not a boyish kit but I guess I was in the mood for boy pages :) I feel so mean I actually scrapped these pictures LOL, he hated that he couldnt get the hat off and kept crying, what a meanie I am! A nice mom would have taken it off for him.

All Moved in!!

Yep we are all moved in and its about freaking time! We finally did close, a whole week after the original close date. We spent the night here for the first time on Friday, slept like a log! No more stress over when we where going to close LOL.
Havent had a whole lot of time to scrap but I have managed to get a couple pages done, of course I now have several awesome new CT kits that I need to get cracking on. Jennifer has two, Kaylee, and Pumkin Cider at the digi shoppe
Then Tracy Collins has two new ones too! Fill Your Heart and 15 Minutes, cant seem to find that one right this minute though.
Rebecca and I kinda did a photo swap thing, I just love her pictures that she does!! This is her gorgeous daughter Katie! I used Vera Lim's Forever Blooms Kit,flowers are her's also from Timeless with the stitching from Tracy Collins new 15 Minute kit,

I actually got another page done of KEITH!! Im not sure why but my poor boy seems to be neglected in the scrap page area, I think its because most of the kits I get just arent Boy kits, anyway I used Elemental Scraps new OCT mega kit Rusted, this thing is huge and it has some really great stuff in it! This picture really cracks me up, I dont know where he was finding these leaves but they where freaking HUGE!! He loved it though.

I hate not getting enough sleep, then I tend to try and nap in the mornings after the kids get off to school, instead of getting stuff unpacked and put away and doing laundry like I should. :P I need a maid! That being said I've got one basket of laundry to fold and then I'm heading off to bed!
